We are currently searching for an Industrial PLC Programmer . In our Company, the Industrial PLC Programmer conducts studies, and develops and supervises programs to achieve the best use of equipment, technology and materials to enhance efficiency and productivity for our clients. The incumbent also participates in the design of software solution for our clients and uses those same software products to implement factory control solutions across North America.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Industrial PLC Programmer performs the following responsibilities:

• Conducts research into the feasibility, design, operation and performance of mechanisms, components and systems
• Plans, designs, manages projects and prepares material, cost and timing estimates, reports and designs specifications for machinery controls and systems
• Supervises and inspects the installation, modification and commissioning of electro-mechanical systems in industrial facilities

REQUIREMENTS:

A bachelor's or Technical degree in control and electrical discipline with a significant programming component would be an asset.

• Significantork experience with any technical background would be considered an asset
• In-depth knowledge of configuring and programming PLC, HMI, SCADA and instruments
• Experience in programming Microsoft products such as Visual Basic, Access, MS SQL and/or in technical control is an asset
• Experience with packaging equipment such as palletizer, wrapper and pallet conveying systems and work experience within the process or municipal industry would be considered an asset
• Ability to understand the client’s business process and industrial process is required
• Excellent problem solving, analytical, planning and organizational skills
• Proactive
• Demonstrated leadership skills on site is an asset
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
• Bilingual:  English and French
